Around November 2023 we installed the large PRO Aluminum model melters with an updated heating element, which is much improved and longer lasting. We titled the new melters, the Model 2. It’s heating element requires a different corded thermostat since the parts are not interchangeable between Model 1 & 2.

If you have a Model 1 in need of a replacement heating element or thermostat, we are limited in stock. The better option would be to order our upgrade kit to convert it to a Model 2 which is listed here: www.diygateway.com/pro-wax-melter-parts/ . This consists of a new bottom plate, along with the model 2 heating element and corded thermostat.

Model 1 thermostat: this was discontinued

Model 2 Thermostat: New model has a more rectangle thermostat and thicker cord.
