Heating Element Conversion Instructions from Old Model 1 to Newer Model 2

Upgraded heating element kit for the 42 LB Pro Melter. These are our new heating elements packaged in all new models released in late October of 2023.

The upgraded heating element has greater power of 1,600 Watts and longer durability which may last up to 3,000+ hours of use. Conversion Kit includes:

·         Upgraded Heating Element

·         Corded Thermostat (new thermostat must be used for it to work. Discard old.)

·         Bottom Cover (new cover must be used since the heating element is larger)

·         Washers

Step 1: Loosen Nuts on Bottom & Remove Old Cover

Step 2: Place New Heating Element in Same Spot.

It should be positioned like the photo. You may have to push the heating element around the threaded studs to fit or align properly.


Step 3: Place the new bottom Cover Plate Over Heating Element

The new bottom cover plate is drilled oversize for it to fit over the threaded studs in most cases. If it is off a little, see note below. *


Step 4: Place Washers & Tighten Nuts Over Threaded Studs

Use the larger washers provided, then the original smaller washers on top, and tighten the nuts. Be sure to tighten the nuts enough to firmly hold the heating element but do not place high force on them or you may risk breaking the stud.
